The Margo Packers are very popular for mine drift development and shaft development operations to stem water flows or consolidate bad ground. Once engineers direct a drill hole pattern and depth, the packers are inserted and connected to pumps. A ball valve is threaded onto the margo packers inlet end (½”, 1”, 2” or 3” NPT) thread which is machined onto every packer. The outlet is a flare which acts as the “stopper” for the washers and polyurethane rubber bushings.
